Oh and while on the subject of discipline. I am so over being ignored by the girls.
I hate that it takes me going off before they will take any notice of me and do as I have asked them.
Many many times I will ask Abby to do something, eg, put her school bag in her room, and I will ask 3 or 4 times over a period of time as I see it still needing to be done but it's usually not until I blow my top and threaten punishment that it will get done.
Have to say that I am so OVER IT!!!!!
It's draining, it's stressful, it's frustrating.
The bag is only an example too, it happens with so so many things.
Sigh.

So glad you posted this. I am feeling this very strongly at the moment too. I have turned into Monster Mom. I just cannot get their attention any other way. Last night we were at a restaurant for Tiff's birthday, and Jaiden kept running outside and would not listen to me to go sit down at the table! I yelled at him in front of all these people, "I didn't come out here to plead with you, beg you, or negotiate, NOW GET IN THERE AND DO WHAT I SAY!"
I'm really losing the plot. Not looking forward to school holidays.

lol Kristie...did he sit down then?...I hope so. But sheesh, I've actually said to the girls that it is not fair that they make cranky mummy come out before they will listen to me, I don't like cranky mummy either!
At least we aren't alone.
Ummm, school hols have the advantage of not needing to do the school morning routine and drop off and pick up....but on the other hand, both of them will be home to fight (notice not play) with each other...yeah, not looking forward to that. Thankfully grandparents will be around to help some of the time...whilst I pretend I've gone deaf, hahaha.
